I'm not sure that leaving the policy sit is a good idea
We already have customers asking for PI space and all we can tell them is to wait.
 
Seeing the "Awaiting Decision from Working Group Chair" on the proposal page, we hoped for a decision soon. 
Should we advice them to become LIRs instead of waiting for a policy change?

It was clear from the discussion at RIPE65 that there was no consensus in
favour of the existing proposal.  As author of the proposal, I intend to
leave the proposal sit for a short period (maybe a couple of months) before
resuming work on it.  I think as a community, we need the benefit of some
hindsight in terms of figuring out what's best in terms of overall policy.
