IEEE conference spam in particular seems to be a problem going back many years.
After the previous case, I've asked RIPE ops to block the sender in question from sending to the APWG list again (which they did). Before that, I tried to actually talk to the sender, who seemed to have no interest in doing so, just spammed again.
