We're neither APNIC nor ARIN here, so not everything that these RIRs do or like to do applies to us. The RIPE community needs to find their own way, without shying away from something other regions didn't dare go go to. If *we* do not want to go there, fine, but not for "the other ones don't do that either" reasons - and from what I see so far regarding feedback from people from the RIPE region, we seem to want to go there.
