I'm honestly curious: have you applied to RIPE for IPv6 address space and been rejected? And yes, I did apply and yes I was rejected. Fascinating. Truly awesome ... I'm doing my best to smile :-|
Given RIPE-NCC's IPv6 allocation statistics, I got the impression they didn't turn anyone down... :-)
The vast majority of requests meet the requirements set out in the policy. That number isn't quite 100%, though. A while back we were asked for some statistics on the number of IPv6 related requests we receive and the proportion that did not result in resources being issued. About 2% of requests did not result in an IPv6 allocation or assignment because the requester was unable to meet the requirements defined in the policy. Of those 2%, slightly more than 1% were unable to meet the requirement for a plan to assign 200 or more /48s within two years. You can find the slides on our web site at: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/meetings/ripe-50/presentations/ripe50-ap-ipv6number... and there are video archives of the session available at: mms://webcast.ripe.net/ripe-50/address-policy-1.wmv and here: http://www.ripe.net/ripe/meetings/ripe-50/webcast-files/ap.wmv Regards, -- leo vegoda RIPE NCC Registration Services Manager
