Hi, MikroTik has large community support since RouterOS v7. So that's no longer an excuse for 16 bit AS numbers. Best regards On 6/12/23 13:38, Elvis Daniel Velea wrote:
could this community convince Mikrotik to develop firmware to support all the internet numbers (and not just the convenient ones) ? do we have anyone from Mikrotik in this mailing list to explain what is stopping them from developing software that supports BGP LC?
I mean, 32bit ASNs have been around since 2007, do they need 25 years or maybe 100 to code software/firmware that supports all numbers?

Yes. But what are - or should be - the consequences of this?
