And what about ccTLD name servers? you can look them up in the dns. Do you read all the thread before replying? That erroneous argument has already been beaten to death.
no. you just don't happen to like it. some decades ago, we moved from hosts.txt to a dynamic system to resolve names. part of its design was that it was rooted in a few well-known addresses, the ip addresses of the root servers. the protocol is such that you don't even need to have a completely correct list of those. now you want to fix the addresses of many names we worked hard to make dynamic. no thanks. randy
